The trek can take several hours depending on the location of your assigned gorilla family and the terrain.

Why Choose a 2-Day Rwanda Gorilla Safari?
A 2-day itinerary is perfect for travelers who want to experience gorilla trekking in Rwanda without committing to a long safari. It can easily fit into a wider Rwanda itinerary or be added to trips through Uganda, Kenya or Tanzania.
Despite being short, the tour focuses on the main attraction: an authentic mountain gorilla trekking experience in the spectacular Virunga Mountains.
Best Time for Rwanda Gorilla Trekking
Rwanda’s mountain gorillas can be visited throughout the year. The relatively drier months are particularly popular for trekking, while the wetter seasons offer lush green landscapes and can provide excellent conditions for photography.
Because gorilla trekking permits are limited, it is recommended to secure your preferred trekking date well in advance.
